About This Project

Hans Michel and Jörg Duss are two Swiss citizens who have lived in Russia for many years. Originally a farmer, Michel manages a thriving milk production company in a rural area. Duss, the all-rounder, works for the super-rich in Moscow and in his spare time he looks after some needy Russians in the coutryside. What do they and the people around them think about Putin and the crisis? And why do both these expatriates want to stay on in Russia? The films catches the atmosphere of a country full of contrasts and contradictions against the backdrop of war with Ukraine.

Die beiden Schweizer Hans Michel und Jörg Duss leben seit vielen Jahren in Russland. Bauer Michel führt erfolgreich einen Milchwirtschaftsbetrieb in der russischen Provinz. Der Allrounder Duss arbeitet für superreiche Russen in Moskau und kümmert sich um die notleidende Bevölkerung auf dem Land. Was denkt ihre Umgebung über Putin und die Krise? Und weshalb wollen beide Auslandschweizer in Russland bleiben? Ein Stimmungsbild voller Gegensätze im Zeichen des Ukrainekonflikts.
